What is "sexting?"

Most teens today are comfortable with documenting their lives online. Posting photos, updating their status messages, sharing rapid-fire texts, and being a click away from friends are the new normal for teens. But this “always on” culture also creates an environment where teens can make impulsive decisions that can come back to haunt them. One example of this has been in the news a lot lately: sexting.

In each generation, teens tend to have a language all to themselves based on what is going on in their culture. This teen slang is used by many and is ever-changing.

BFF- Best Friends Forever.

Bounce- Means to leave.

Chillin'- Means relaxing.

Dope- Means cool or awesome.

Fly- Boys tend to refer to girls they think are good looking as 'fly'.

Hater or h8er- This is in reference to someone who just hates everything, even their friends. It is someone who is so pessimistic that the teen is tired of hearing from them.
